Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2025

PDFRover respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we use and how.

Processing in your browser

Many PDF tools (merge, split, compress, protect, unlock, rotate, pages, watermark, etc.) run entirely in your browser. When you use these tools, your files are not uploaded to our servers. Processed results exist only in your browser until you download or leave the page.

When we process data

Some features (e.g. high-fidelity Word→PDF, or future OCR) may send data to our servers. We process it only to perform the requested operation and do not use your documents for other purposes. We do not permanently store your PDFs or converted files.

Account and billing

If you register, we store account identifiers necessary to provide the service and, when billing is enabled, the membership/billing information needed to process payments. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Cookies and storage

We may use local storage or cookies for session, preferences, or security (e.g. login state). You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us to exercise them. For more on how we protect your privacy in practice, see the "How we protect your privacy" section on the homepage.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, provide notice where appropriate.
